Skateboarding in Cuba is re-emerging as an informal subculture that transgresses institutions and regulations. A group of young people, from the Team Good Time Skate movement, fights against governmental obstacles to the sport in the streets of Alamar. Within the framework of the recently incorporated globalization, the movement, as a social and personal voice of the island's youth interests, seeks to encourage the construction of a new panorama that allows the practice of skateboarding with dignity.
The local skateboard culture takes over the streets and those pedestals of socialism that had been left in oblivion and shadow; these great constructions that symbolized progress and prosperity, become tracks and scenarios of transformation for children and young people who find freedom and hope in sport.
